Overview: With every purchase you make with The Citadel Select Rewards Visa Platinum card, a small financial donation will be made to the military school. Every purchase will also earn you rewards points, no matter where you use this card.

How This Card Works: Once you’ve generated enough rewards points, you can convert them into gift certificates, cash-back rewards, merchandise and other rewards. You’ll need 1,500 points to start redeeming them.

Travel and Shopping Benefits: With every dollar that you charge with your card, you’ll earn one rewards point. You’ll also receive 1,000 bonus rewards points after you make your first purchase with The Citadel Select Rewards Visa Platinum card. The card also comes with an introductory interest rate of 0 percent on both new purchases and balance transfers for the first six billing cycles after you open a new account.

Fees: The card comes with an interest rate that its either reasonable or high depending on your credit. Cardholders with good credit can qualify for a purchase interest rate as low as 12.99 percent. Those with weak credit can see their interest rate soar to as high as 23.99 percent. Cash advances cost $10 or 4 percent of the advance amount, whichever figure is higher, while late-payment, returned-payment and overlimit fees can run as high as $35.
