Verdict: If you spend a lot each month, you can quickly earn rewards points with the TD Easy Rewards Visa Card. This card lives up to the “easy” part of its name: There are few restrictions on how you can use your rewards and when you can cash them in. And you can earn rewards with most any purchase. Combine this with a reasonable interest rate — as low as 13.24 percent depending on your credit score — and the TD Easy Rewards card earns a solid grade.

Overview: Like most rewards cards, the TD Easy Rewards Visa Card lets cardholders earn rewards points with every purchase they make. They can then redeem these points for air travel, hotel stays, car rentals and merchandise from retailers. The card comes with an interest rate that varies depending on the strength of consumers’ credit cards.

How This Card Works: The amount of points that cardholders can earn with each purchase changes after an introductory rate expires after the first six months. Consumers have at least 25 days after the close of each billing cycle to make their monthly payments. The minimum interest fee they will be charged if they carry a balance is $1.

Travel and Shopping Benefits: For the first six months in which they own their TD Easy Rewards card, consumers will earn two rewards points for every $1 they purchase using their card. After this initial period, consumers will earn one rewards point for every dollar they spend. The card places no limits on rewards points, and these points never expire.

After claiming at least 25,000 points, cardholders can cash in their rewards for round-trip airfare tickets. After earning at least 15,000 points they can redeem their rewards for hotel stays or car rentals. Cardholders can also redeem their points for merchandise from retailers, gift cards and even unique experiences such as scuba diving lessons.

Fees: The TD Easy Rewards card comes with fairly standard fees. Consumers will be charged up to $35 if they make their payments late. They will also be charged either $10 or 5 percent for every cash advance they make with their card, whichever amount is greater. The Easy Rewards card comes with an interest rate of 13.24 percent, 18.24 percent or 23.24 percent depending on the creditworthiness of card applicants. There is no annual fee.
