Verdict: The Philadelphia Phillies have been one of the strongest teams in the National League during the last five years. If you’re a fan, you can now show your support by applying for the Philadelphia Phillies MLB Extra Bases Credit Card. This card comes with a solid — albeit a rather boring — rewards program. It also comes emblazoned with the Phillies’ logo, one that you can show off with every purchase that you make.

Overview: The Philadelphia Phillies Extra Bases credit card is one in a series offered by Bank of America and Major League Baseball. Each team in the game has its own credit card. Each card comes with the same basic rewards program. None of the cards charges an annual fee.

How This Card Works: The Phillies card provides you with rewards points with every purchase that you make with it. You might argue that the amount of points it provides, though, isn’t quite enough.

Travel and Shopping Benefits: You’ll earn the same amount of rewards points for every dollar that you charge with the Philadelphia Phillies MLB Extra Bases credit card: one. That’s a bit of disappointment to consumers used to earning double or triple rewards points for specific purchases made with higher-end credit cards. The fun with the Phillies card, though, starts when you earn enough points to redeem them. Then you can shop online for Phillies jerseys, autographed baseballs, baseball cards, game programs and even the chance to attend invitation-only Phillies events.

Fees: The Phillies card comes with a reasonable interest rate, depending on your credit score. If your score is high, your purchase interest rate will be as low as 12.99 percent. If it’s high, your rate can soar to as much as 20.99 percent. The card also comes with an introductory interest rate offer of 0 percent on all new purchases. The card comes with no annual fee, and a cash-advance fee that runs either $10 or 4 percent of the advance amount, whichever figure is higher. Returned-payment fees cost up to $25, while late-payment fees run as high as $35.

Pros:

  • No annual fee.
  • Reasonable interest rate depending on your credit score.
  • Chance to show your passion for your favorite team.

Cons:

  • Rewards program is rather dull.
  • Interest rate can soar to 20.99 percent if your credit score is too low.
