Verdict: Although the Nordstrom Credit Card is a decent store card, it’s far from the best rewards card out there. I highly recommend looking into the Discover More card which is by far the best rewards card out there and allows you to earn 5% cash back on all gas, travel, groceries and drugstore purchases as well as 1% back on all other purchases.
Overview:
The Nordstrom credit card comes with the Nordstrom Fashion Rewards program, which has four levels that each come with their own complimentary services and programs. All levels earn points that can be redeemed for Nordstrom Notes.
How This Card Works:
Your Nordstrom credit card comes with the Nordstrom Fashion Rewards Program, which earns you complimentary services, special access, and shopping rewards. All Nordstrom credit cards earn 2 reward points for every dollar spent at Nordstrom and the Nordstrom Visa cards also earn an additional point on purchases outside Nordstrom. These points can be redeemed every 2,000 points for a Nordstrom Note.
Travel and Shopping Benefits:
There are four levels to the program, corresponding to the amount of net purchases you make with your card each year. You are automatically a level one and earn one point for every dollar you spend with your card anywhere if you qualify for the Nordstrom Visa and 2 points for every dollar spent at Nordstrom. For every 2,000 points you’ll receive a $20 Nordstrom Note good toward purchases in store and online. Once you’ve made $2,000 dollars in annual net purchases you are put on level two, where you’ll also get complimentary standard shipping on purchases, up to $10 per transaction. You also get an early access pass to shop the Anniversary Sale and an invitation to the Holiday Private Shopping Event, where you’ll earn 10 bonus points per dollar spent. You reach level 3 when you make at least $10,000 in net purchases per year. At level 3 you’ll also get up to $300 in complimentary alterations, a personal concierge, and access to purchase specially designed shopping packages. Level 4 is achieved when you make at least $20,000 in purchases each year. You’ll receive a bonus $200 gift card when you reach level 4, along with complimentary tickets to Nordstrom designer runway fashion shows, your own private shopping party, and unlimited complimentary alterations on Nordstrom purchases.
If you qualify for the Nordstrom Visa Signature card you also have the option of enrolling in the Alternate Travel Program, which turns your points into travel points.
