Verdict: The Houston Astros are one of few Major League Baseball teams that have never won the World Series. That doesn’t mean, though, that this Texas Franchise doesn’t have its fans. And these passionate fans can show their allegiance to the Astros with their Houston Astros MLB Extra Bases Credit Card. Emblazoned with the Houston Astros logo, this card provides rewards points every time that Astros fans use it to make purchases.

Overview: Bank of America and Major League Baseball have teamed up to offer 30 Extra Bases MLB credit cards, one for every team in the league. Each card comes decorated with a specific team’s logo. Each also features the same rewards programs, fees and interest rates.

How This Card Works: You’ll receive rewards points with every purchase that you make with the Houston Astros MLB Extra Bases Credit Card. You can redeem these points for everything from autographed game balls to Houston Astros tickets to the chance to throw out the opening pitch at an Astros game. You can also turn your rewards points into free airfare and other non-baseball-related merchandise.

Travel and Shopping Benefits: Every time you use this MLB Extra Bases credit card, you’ll earn one rewards point for every dollar that you charge. That’s not quite as good as the rewards programs that come with many top-flight cards. With these programs, you can earn double or triple your rewards points with certain purchases. This card also comes with an introductory interest rate offer of 0 percent on all purchases within the first 12 months of activating your account.

Fees: The fees associated with the Houston Astros MLB Extra Bases Credit Card are fairly standard. Your interest rate will range from 12.99 percent to 20.99 percent depending on your credit score; the higher your score, the lower your rate. Cash advances cost $10 or 4 percent of the advance amount, whichever is higher. Returned-payment fees run up to $25, while late-payment fees cost up to $35. There is no annual fee for this card.

Pros:

  • No annual fee.
  • Purchase interest rate as low as 12.99 percent depending on credit.
  • Rewards points for every purchase.

Cons:

  • Purchase interest rate can hit 20.99 percent for those with bad credit.
  • Rewards program too vanilla.
