The Verdict: The Visa Signature card from Ent is a good choice for members that want an elite credit card experience. The card has no annual fee, an excellent rewards program and a 0% introductory APR for balance transfers and purchases. Although the card has a rather high APR that ranges from 9.99% to 17.99%, this can be offset by paying balances in full each month. The range of benefits and services offered to cardholders may appeal especially to members that travel frequently or appreciate exclusive upgrades for sporting events. Overall, this card can be a good fit for many, although it is not suitable for balance transfers and cash advances due to high fees.

Overview: Ent Credit Union membership is open to residents around the Denver area, as well as civilian and military personnel with the National Guard. Membership allows individuals to take advantage of many of Ent’s financial services, including their 4 credit card options. The Ent Visa Signature card is one such option that gives cardholders benefits like no annual fee, cash back and rewards cards and no preset spending limit. The card is offered as an elite option with a range of special benefits, privileges and features.

How These Cards Work: The Visa Signature card from Ent is accepted worldwide and has a 25 day grace period that applies to purchases only. The due date for balances is between 24 and 30 days after the closing of each billing cycle; to avoid interest, cardholders must pay the balance in full by the due date. Cardholders are given the choice between two rewards programs: one earns an unlimited 1% cash back on all purchases while the other earns 1 point for every dollar that can later be redeemed for gift cards, travel, merchandise and more. New cardholders qualify for a bonus 2,500 points added to their account, along with six months at an introductory 0% APR. This card has no preset spending limit, although cardholders are still responsible for paying their monthly payment each month.

Travel & Shopping Benefits: The Ent Visa Signature card offers a bonus to new cardholders of 2,500 bonus points, which may be redeemed immediately for a $25 statement credit. The card earns 1% cash back with no limit, which can save cardholders hundreds each month of regular purchases. One point may be earned for every dollar spent, which can be redeemed for merchandise, travel or more. Roundtrip airline tickets start at 25,000, allowing some cardholders to earn free travel in a year. There is no preset spending limit on the card and it also comes with exclusive benefits like upgrades on hotels, travel and spas. Free concierge is available 24 hours a day and free credit card checks are also offered. Cardholders that attend sporting events can receive preferred seating, presale tickets and VIP packages. Manufacturer’s warranties are doubled on purchases, and rental collision and damage insurance is automatic for vehicles rented with the card. Travel accident insurance up to $1,000,000 is included, as well as travel assistance and emergency help with lost tickets and medical situations.

Fees: There is no annual fee for the Visa Signature card. The APR is set at 0% for the first six billing periods for both balance transfers and purchases. After six months, the APR becomes the standard 9.99% to 17.99%, depending on credit worthiness. This APR applies to cash advances, balance transfers and purchases. The minimum interest charge, if incurred, is $2.00. Transaction fees for this credit card are higher than standard. Cash advances, balance transfers, convenience check cash advances and overdraft protection are subject to a 4% transaction fee with a minimum of $10. Foreign transactions are subject to a 2% fee if in U.S. currency and 3% if the transaction is in a foreign currency. The late payment and returned payment fees are up to $35. There is no over limit fee as there is no preset spending limit for the card.
