The Verdict: The Ent Visa Platinum card is a straightforward and easy to use credit card that gives cardholders a high credit limit with a reasonable APR and an introductory 0% APR for a full 12 months. Although the APR may be a bit high, qualifying for this card is fairly easy for members of the credit union. The card has no annual fee but no rewards and is meant as a way for cardholders with poor or no credit to reestablish their credit history. It’s also recommended to individuals who want a card that costs nothing to carry in case of emergencies.

Overview: Ent Credit Union accepts members in the Denver area, along with military and civilian personnel with the National Guard. Becoming a member of the credit union gives individuals access to a range of financial services, including four credit card options. The Ent Visa Platinum is one card offered by the credit union and it gives cardholders low interest rates, generous credit limits and no annual fee. This simple, low-cost credit card even includes a 0% introductory APR for 12 billing cycles.

How These Cards Work: The Visa Platinum card is accepted worldwide. The due date is between 24 and 30 days after the closing of each billing cycle and cardholders can avoid interest charges by paying their balance in full before this due date. This card has an introductory 0% APR on balance transfers and purchases. This card includes basic travel benefits, like travel accident insurance and auto rental insurance.

Travel & Shopping Benefits: Because the Visa Platinum card is a basic credit card with no rewards, shopping and travel benefits are limited. Cardholders may receive special discounts at select retailers. The card does come with auto rental insurance and free automatic collision and damage insurance. Travel assistance is available in case of lost tickets or accidents and extended warranty coverage applies to purchases. A free extra card and free credit card checks are also given to cardholders.

Fees: There is no annual fee for the Ent Visa Platinum card. The APR is 0% for the first 12 billing cycles for balance transfers and purchases. The standard APR for the card varies between 9.99% and 17.99%, depending on credit worthiness. If interest is charged, the minimum charge is $2.00. A 3% transaction fee applies to balance transfers with a minimum fee of $5 during the first six months. After this period the transaction fee increases to 4% with a minimum fee of $10. Convenience check cash advances, cash advances and overdraft protection are subject to a 4% transaction fee with a minimum fee of $10. Foreign transactions are charged 3% if in foreign currency and 2% if the transaction is in U.S. currency. Overlimit, returned payment and late payment fees are all up to $35.
