How These Cards Work: The California Coast Visa Platinum card is accepted worldwide. Optional debt insurance is available in the form of California Coast Guard Plus, which protects the cardholder against involuntary unemployment, death or disability. While online access is available, cardholders that are not near a branch may also use the Coastline phone service to get statement information, check balances, make payments, transfer funds and more.

Travel & Shopping Benefits: This credit card comes with a good range of travel and shopping benefits. Travel accident insurance is included when tickets are purchased with the card and this covers the cardholder, spouse and children. Auto rental insurance is also included which protects the cardholder from damage or theft to the rental vehicle. A range of emergency assistance services are also offered, such as emergency card replacement, cash and more. This card also has excellent fraud protection and uses Verified by Visa, which allows the cardholder to select a password to use while shopping online to reduce the risk of fraudulent charges.

Fees: There is no annual fee for the California Coast Visa Platinum card. The APR varies between 10.99% and 15.99% upon opening an account and this APR applies to purchases, balance transfers and cash advances.
