Verdict: Do you still proudly wear your Cal Ripken jersey? Can you rattle off the career slugging percentages of Boog Powell and Brooks Robinson? Do you own a framed baseball card of Jim Palmer? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you’re undoubtedly a fan of the Baltimore Orioles. And if this is the case, the Baltimore Orioles MLB Extra Bases Credit Card gives you the opportunity to both earn rewards points and show your support for the birds.

Overview: The Baltimore Orioles MLB Extra Bases Credit Card is one in a series of rewards cards offered by Major League Baseball and Bank of America. The Orioles card comes complete with Baltimore’s well-known logo. And, like all of these cards, it comes with no annual fee.

How This Card Works: Like all of Major League Baseball’s Extra Bases credit cards, this one earns you points with every purchase that you make. It also comes with standard industry rates and an introductory purchase interest rate offer of 0 percent.

Travel and Shopping Benefits: You’ll earn one rewards point for every dollar that you charge with this card. Once you earn enough points, you can redeem them for official MLB and Baltimore Orioles merchandise. Been longing for that autographed Orioles baseball? You can turn your points into one. You can even redeem your points to secure an invitation to throw out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles home game. The only downside to the rewards program? It doesn’t offer you the ability to earn double or triple rewards points for any purchase.

Fees: The Baltimore Orioles credit card, like all of the MLB Extra Bases cards, comes with an interest rate of 12.99 percent to 20.99 percent depending on your creditworthiness. For the first 12 months after you activate your card, you’ll be able to take advantage of an introductory interest rate of 0 percent on all purchases. Cash advances cost $10 or 4 percent of the advance amount, whichever is higher. Late-payment fees can run as high as $35, while returned-payment fees cost $25.

Pros:

  • Card features logo of Baltimore Orioles.
  • Solid, if unspectacular, rewards program.
  • Introductory interest rate offer of 0 percent.
  • No annual fee.

Cons:

  • Purchase interest rate can rise as high as 20.99 percent.
  • Rewards program is extremely basic.
  • Late-payment fee of $35.
