As with anything, the more miles you have, the further you can go. However, generally, you can make one round trip anywhere within the continental United States with 25,000 credit card airline miles.

This can and does vary between credit card companies, so check with your particular credit card company to learn exactly how many points you need to reach a particular destination. Also, airlines count miles differently, so 25,000 miles with one airline may be further than with another airline. Here again, you’ll have to check with the particular airline you’re interested in flying.

However, depending on their terms and conditions, as well as other factors, such as time of the year or even certain destinations, it may be possible to go out of the country on 25,000 miles. Being as flexible as possible with your travel dates can go a long way towards making this happen.

One thing you might want to do is to fly into an airport that is not directly in your destination city but is within easy driving distance. For example, if you fly into BWI airport in Baltimore, Maryland, you are only 45 minutes from Washington, DC. Depending on where you leave from, you may actually use less airline miles.
