How Do You Redeem Capital One Rewards?

Q: I currently have a Capital One card, and I know I’ve earned some rewards. How can I redeem them?

A: You can redeem your rewards by either calling the rewards center, logging on to the rewards website, or setting it up to automatically give you cash back once you reach a certain amount.

Of course, to set it up automatic redemption, you will need to either call or log on to the website.

The easiest way to redeem your points is on the website. In fact, you can find the link to redeem your points rights next to your account overview.

The phone number for the rewards center is 1-800-228-3001, and the rewards website can be found at https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/rewards/.

Now on to the rewards that you can redeem.

With the Quicksilver, QuicksilverOne and Journey Student Rewards cards, you can choose to receive a check, you can apply the reward to your account balance, or, if you wish, you can redeem it for a gift card.

With the Venture and VentureOne card, you can redeem it for airline miles, a hotel room, a rental car, other travel expenses, or gift cards or even as a statement credit.

Some of the gift cards available include Macy’s, Amazon, and Starbucks.

But you will always get the most value for your points from the Venture and VentureOne cards by redeeming them to cover travel related expenses.

And while we’re on the topic of rewards, there are a few extra perks that you may be able to receive without even realizing it.

If you have a Visa Signature card (such as the Capital One Venture card), you can receive discounts and upgrades at many restaurants, hotels, and cruise lines. You can receive discounts on tickets to sporting events, wine tastings, and at some of your favorite retailers.
