Q: I want to use my cash back bonus with my Discover card, but I have no idea how to do this. Help!

A: There are two ways you can do this:

The first one is by registering for the Account Center. You do this by going to this page and entering the requested information. Once you’ve completed the registration process and received confirmation, you then just follow the on-line instructions for redeeming your points. These include looking at the options available for the amount of points you have (these can include cash back, merchandise, and travel options). You then simply make your selection, review your choices, and submit your order.

If you aren’t registered for the Account Center, you can call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683. If you’ve already made your redemption choice, a customer service representative will enter that for you and verify all your information. If you haven’t made a selection, the representative will help you choose and then take care of the ordering and verification process.

Either option will allow you to redeem your cash back bonus. Then you can start back building points. Just remember to continue to make wise spending decisions.
