Planning a trip this summer? You might want to consider signing up for the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card from Chase. This card, like many on the market today, comes with a generous rewards program, designed to entice new customers.

The rewards are so generous, in fact, you can quickly earn enough rewards points to purchase two free tickets for Southwest flights.

Sign-up Offer: Here’s how this offer works: Open an account and make your first purchase with the Southwest Airlines Rewards Premier Credit Card. Once you make this purchase, you’ll receive 50,000 bonus rewards points which is over $800 in Wanna Get Away® Fares.

You can then convert these bonus points into two free Southwest Airlines tickets. It’s a nice way to take a summer vacation on the cheap.

Other Bonuses: The sign-up bonus isn’t the only benefit that comes with this card. Each year, on the anniversary of when you first opened your credit card account, you’ll receive 6,000 free bonus rewards points.

The card also comes with a solid rewards program. You’ll receive one rewards point for every dollar’s worth of purchases that you make with your Southwest Airlines Rewards Premier Credit Card. You’ll earn two rewards points for every dollar that you charge for Southwest Airlines flights, partner hotels and car-rental partners of Southwest.

In other words, it’s relatively easy to earn a significant number of rewards points with this card, depending on your spending habits.

No Blackout Dates: The card also guarantees that you won’t face any blackout dates when trying to convert your points into airfare. You can use your points to purchase tickets on more than 50 global airlines for any class of seat. As long as seats are available, you’ll be eligible to purchase it with your rewards points.

No Card is Perfect: There’s a lot to like about this credit card. But there isn’t a credit card on the market that’s perfect, and this includes the Southwest Airlines Rewards Premier Credit Card.

The biggest drawback? The card comes with an annual fee of $99. Now, this fee isn’t bad if you fly frequently for business or pleasure. Frequent fliers can easily generate enough free tickets to outweigh the annual fee. Those who don’t fly often, though, might investigate a different rewards card.

The card also comes with a purchase interest rate that while not exorbitant, isn’t exactly low, either. Cardholders will face an interest rate of 14.24 percent with this card.
