With most credit cards, the standard exchange rate for rewards points or frequent flyers miles is one point or mile for every dollar charged to the card.

Most cards offer more lucrative exchange rates of 2 to 1, 3 to 1, or 5 to 1 when you visit certain websites or shop with participating retailers.

But now, there’s a card that provides with a 2 to 1 ratio of miles to charged dollars on every purchase you make.

Discover it Miles now offers cardholders unlimited 1.5 miles for all purchases made with the card. And Discover will double all the miles you earn in your first year.

Plus, if you do your online shopping at the company’s ShopDiscover website, the exchange rate rises to four miles for every dollar spent. To top it off, you can earn 1,000 bonus miles every month you use your card for the first 25 months of membership.

You can also transfer balances to Escape by Discover and pay no interest for the first six months of membership. The card provides you with enhanced travel benefits, but there is a $60 annunal fee.
