The AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature Card offers a valuable perk to new cardholders: enough rewards points to turn into a free airline ticket as long as these new card members use their cards frequently enough.

Card members will earn 10 A+ Rewards credits when they spend $750 with their card in the first 90 days of activating their account. That’s enough points for a free one-way rewards flight. Card members can also turn these rewards points into two upgrades to business class on any flight that they book.

This isn’t the only perk that the AirTran card comes with: New members can also receive up to 10 bonus A+ Rewards credits when they transfer an existing credit card balance to their new AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature Card. On card members’ anniversary dates, they’ll also receive two $50 discount certificates that are valid for round-trip travel an AirTran Airways.

Cardholders also earn two rewards points for every dollar they charge on AirTran purchases, including flights. They’ll receive one rewards point for every dollar they charge on all other purchases.

It’s important to note that this offer only holds for the AirTran Airways A+ Visa Signature card with an annual fee. Visa also offers a version of this card that comes with no yearly fee. That card comes with a less generous rewards package. The annual fee-version of the card comes with a yearly fee of $49.
