The Blue Sky Preferred from American Express comes with several perks. One of the most lucrative, though, is a generous bonus points offer.
As soon as you charge at least $500 with your Blue Sky Preferred card, you’ll earn 7,500 bonus rewards points. You can then redeem these points for a $100 statement credit, hotel stays, airline ticket or other travel rewards.
The traditional way to earn points with this card is by making purchases with it. You’ll earn two rewards points for every charge you make for dining, hotel stays and car rentals. You’ll earn one rewards point for every other dollar that you charge. Cardholders can also take advantage of a $100-a-year travel allowance that they can use on airline incidental fees such as baggage checking, in-flight meals, entertainment, blankets and pillows.
The Blue Sky Preferred card, though, is not free: You’ll have to pay an annual fee of $75 to use it. The card currently comes with an introductory purchase interest rate of 0 percent interest for 12 months. After this period ends, cardholders will be charged a purchase interest rate of 17.24 percent, 19.24 percent or 21.24 percent.
