The Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN is far from cheap. To use this card, you’ll need to pay an annual fee of $450. But there’s a reason that this card is so costly: It comes with more than 30 different perks, inculding a generous bonus points offer for those cardholders who use their card frequently to charge both business and personal expenses.

Update: American Express has made the bonus points for this offer much easier to claim. You can now earn 25,000 Membership Rewards® points by spending $5,000 in the first 3 months.

Cardholders can then cash in their rewards points for a wide variety of items, including private jet service, dinners at exclusive restaurants, stays at the country’s top hotels, free airline flights, car rentals and merchandise from high-end retailers.

In addition to the bonus points, card members will earn one point for nearly every dollar they charge. They’ll earn two points when they make travel arrangements with their Business Platinum Card and they’ll earn four points when they use their cards to make purchases at American Express’ bonuspointsmall.com, a site set up just for Platinum Business card members.

There’s a reason, then, why the Platinum business Card from American Express is far from inexpensive: It features one of the most generous rewards programs in the business-card class.
