Through November 6th, 2011, points transfers from American Express to the Choice Hotels ChoicePrivileges program will earn a 50 percent bonus.

As the previous ratio was 1 to 1, this is a 50 percent improvement – not a bad deal if you are a fan of Choice Hotels.

If you are unfamiliar with the ChoicePrivileges program, it offers guests a variety of benefits.

These include complimentary high-speed Internet access, a complimentary newspaper at most Choice locations, extended reservations, and express checkout. There are other benefits at various tiers of the program, as well.

You won’t be staying in the penthouse suite at a 5 star hotel, but you’ll get a few extra perks that could come in handy – especially if you travel frequently.

Rodeway Inn Downtowner on Route 66

If you are unsure of whether or not your favorite hotels are in the Choice Hotels family, the following is a list of their hotel brands:

  • Comfort Inn
  • Comfort Suites
  • Quality
  • Sleep Inn
  • Clarion
  • Cambria Suites
  • MainStay Suites
  • Suburban
  • EconoLodge
  • Rodeway Inn
  • Ascend Collection

As the mentioned hotel brands are generally found along roadways, this could be a great deal for road warriors. The extra points could come in handy for those who participate in the ChoicePrivileges program and want to score more points.

Don’t lose any sleep if you miss this offer. But it is a decent offer to take advantage of if you already participate in this program.
