Verdict: The Cabela’s Club Visa credit card is a retail reward card designed for the Cabela Club frequent traveler or shopper. This credit card allows cardholders to earn reward points from their credit card purchases with no annual fee. Cabela’s is the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear. The company produces nearly 100 different catalogs per year, including specialty books focusing on such outdoor pursuits as archery, fly-fishing and boating, as well as massive Spring and Fall Master catalogs. So there is always plenty of things an avid outdoorsman will want to purchase.
Before you apply for the Cabela’s Credit Card:
The Discover More Card is the best credit card for earning rewards at Cabelas.
Discover has created an online portal for their cardholders called ShopDiscover where they have partnered with over 100 retailers to give big discounts. If you have a Discover® More Card, you can earn 5% cash back when you shop at Cabelas online through the ShopDiscover portal as well as 1% back on all other purchases you make with the card. With Discover® More you also earn 5% back on gas, groceries and other rotating categories. The Cabelas card gives you 2% back on in store purchases only, so in my opinion, Discover® More is a much better card.

As you can see in the picture above, The Discover More Card is offering 5% cash back on all online purchases from Cabelas – with the Club Visa you only earn 1 point per dollar which equates to about 2% back when shopping at Cabelas.
Overview: World’s Foremost Bank is the issuer of Cabela’s Club Visa. Cabela’s Club is an outdoor gear and travel club. You can earn double points with any Cabela’s purchase. You also get a lower APR for any Cabela’s purchase that you make. To provide support for their co-branded credit card, which was started in 1995, Cabela’s chartered the World’s Foremost Bank, N.A., in 2001. The bank provides customer service, risk management and payment processing exclusively for Cabela’s Visa cardholders.

This card is absolutely horrible! I use this card for business purposes and travel constantly. I spend around $6,000 a month in expenses and I pay the card completely off every two weeks. I can’t even tell you have many times my card has been declined because of a Fraud Alert. I have warned them before hand that I travel weekly and they said I need to call every time I travel.. really? Recently I spent the $25,000 limit to get the Cabela’s Black card and they claim my credit score is to low to the get the black card. They claim I have to have above a 680 in order to get the card. I have been told by numerous people that you can’t even get ANY Cabela’s Bank Card if you have a credit score below a 680. I pulled all three of my credit scores the same day and my scores were between a 710 and 720. I can not say enough how much I hate this card and if my husband didn’t enjoy using the Cabela’s points so much I would chop this card in pieces.

What Meghan said. It’s embarrassing. We pay off our credit cards every month and still get declined like deadbeats.
On their advice, I called them when I traveled – and still got declined. It’s annoying as heck.
The people on the other end of the phone line are nice and helpful and, importantly, in the US, but that’s like saying my mechanic is a great guy. That may be so, but I don’t want to talk to him so damn much. We stopped using ours and will cancel soon.
