I've always had a job, and already have a card with an uninterrupted history of over six years of on-time payments since the day I got it. And to top it off, the bank I applied to was the one I've had a savings account with for 15 years. The reason they gave for denying me was "Account related expenses exceed expected revenue". WTF??? My credit card application was denied even though my credit score is well over 700.
