Lane Bryant Credit Card Review

Verdict: I’ve been reviewing store credit cards all week, and I’ve found that almost every store card (including Lane Bryant) offers the same 5% back on in store purchases rewards structure paired with an extremely high interest rate.

Although earning 5% back isn’t bad for a card, the fact that you can only use the card at Lane Bryant really limits the amount you can earn. Instead, I would go with a good cash back credit card like Discover More Card because it offers 5% cash back on any clothing purchases, regardless of the store. With Discover More you also earn 5% cash back on other rotating categories like groceries, home improvement, gas, and more.

How this card works: The Lane Bryant Store Credit Card allows you to earn 1 point for every dollar you spend on in store purchases. You receive 25 bonus points if you choose to register your account online. You also receive 15% off your first purchase with the card.

This card follows a generic store credit card template, so there is really nothing to this card that you wouldn’t see with any other store credit card (yes they all have very high interest rates as well).

Fees: This card has no annual fee.

Rewards: For the first 400 points you earn you receive a $20 gift card. After earning the initial 400 points you are then upgraded to the Lane Bryant Premier Credit Card (don’t get too excited) which allows you to receive a $30 gift card for every 400 points you accumulate. Once you are upgraded the horrible interest rate remains the same, however you do receive free ground shipping on every online purchase of $75 or more.

It’s worth mentioning that if you shop on your birthday week you earn double rewards points. You can also choose your own sale day on which you receive an additional 20% off your purchase.

Pros:

  • Earn 1 point for every dollar you spend at Lane Bryant
  • 15% off your first purchase.
  • No Annual Fee.

Cons:

  • Very High APR
  • Pretty generic store credit card, no additional benefits other than the rewards program.
