Great Cards for Great Credit

Not everyone has bad or questionable credit. There are some that have been lucky enough and/or disciplined enough to keep a good to excellent credit rating. Finding the right credit card is just as important and equally as difficult as for those with less than perfect credit. The competition from credit card issuers for the business of consumers with good credit is fierce. They are always coming up with new benefits and features that reward those with great credit.

However, this makes finding the right deal very difficult. It would be easy just to accept the first good-looking offer that comes along, but is this in your best interest? Maybe, but most likely not. And most with great credit have great credit because they have not jumped into anything without adequate research first, right?

To make that search a little easier, we have compiled a list of great credit cards that have exceptional introductory offer and lifetime feature benefits.

Best Cash Rewards

Blue Cash from American Express is highly recommended if you are looking for a credit card that gives you cash rebates for your every day purchases. This card has been rated “The Best Cash Rebate Card” by Kiplinger’s personal finance. With Blue Cash you can earn a 5% rebate on every day purchases such as filling up for gas and shopping at the supermarket or drugstore. Additionally, Blue Cash from American Express does not have an annual fee. When you sign up for the card you get a 0% introductory APR for 6 months.

The HSBC Platinum MasterCard with Cash Back Rewards, the cardholder is able to receive 1% cash back. With unlimited rewards that can be earned and the unlimited locations and products that allow cash back, you can literally make hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in cash back per year using the generous rewards system.

Best Points Rewards

The Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is an impressive credit card which can be used to accumulate a vast amount of rewards by using the card for everyday purchases. Citi participates in the Thank You Network program and makes it available for cardholders to earn extensive bonus rewards through the program. This card does have balance transfer fees, but 0% APR for 12 consecutive billing periods for you to pay less interest. Over all, a very good deal.

The IBERIABANK Visa Platinum Card plan offers cardholders earnings of one point per dollar spent on all purchases. These points can then in turn be redeemed for merchandise, travel and gift certificates at participating restaurants and merchants who are enrolled in this program. IBERIABANK Visa Platinum Card has a low interest rate of 8.00%, 9.00%, or 10.00% as of 11/28/08, depending on your creditworthiness. Additionally, there is an introductory rate of 0% on balance transfers which are submitted during the first three months for a maximum of the first six months of membership.

Best Travel Rewards

The Miles by Discover credit card allows you to earn 12,000 bonus miles right away and double points are earned just by making everyday shopping purchases. There is no annual fee and 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers. Book through your favorite airline and travel whenever you want, because there are no blackout dates when booking with this card.

The Hilton HHonors Platinum Card from American Express works on a rewards points based system. You get five Hilton HHonors points for every dollar you spend at the supermarket, gas stations, drugstores, select restaurants, Hilton Hotels, and on your wireless phone bill. You automatically earn 10,000 Hilton HHonors points on your first purchase and you get 15,000 bonus points when you spend $5,000 during your first five months of card membership (30,000 total). There is no annual fee with this card.

Low APR Cards

If you want to skip the frills and extras and jump straight into a low APR then the Pulaski Bank VISA Classic may be a good choice for you. Pulaski Bank & Trust offers two separate card options with excellent benefits and the very lowest interest rates. The Visa Classic card offers a fixed APR of 6.50% after the intro 0% APR on balance transfers expires. This card does charge an annual fee of $35, but the rate is lower than most other credit cards, so therefore it will pay for itself.

Another great choice is the Citi Platinum Select MasterCard. It has many benefits as well as a very low interest rate which makes this card one of the best out there today. The 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers will last for up to twelve months and after that time the interest rate will increase to 6.74%. There are also many security benefits to obtaining this credit card, including secure online management, $0 liability coverage and various identity theft solutions.
