The Escape by Discover® Card is a travel benefits card that earns miles for every purchase you make, with bonus points when you use their exclusive online shopping site. You can redeem these miles for travel credit, gift cards, or cash deposits.
How This Card Works:
The Escape card earns 2 miles for every $1 you spend on anything, along with an additional 2 miles when you use their online shopping site. You also receive bonus points every month you make a purchase. This card comes with many types of travel insurance, even trip cancellation insurance, which will provide up to $2,500 to travel another day if you become ill and cannot make a flight. The APR is an introductory 0% for 6 months for purchases and an entire year for balance transfers.
Travel and Shopping Benefits:
The Escape card offers mostly travel benefits, earning 2 miles for every $1 you spend on everything and an addition 2 miles for every $1 you spend through their exclusive online shopping site. You also receive enhanced travel benefits, primary car rental insurance (up to $50,000 with no deductible), lost or damaged luggage insurance (reimbursement up to $2,500), travel delay insurance (up to $150 per day of unexpected foot and lodging), and trip cancellation insurance (up to $2,500 to travel another time if you become ill and cannot travel). The Escape card also gives 1,000 bonus miles each month you make a purchase. For every 10,000 miles you can receive a $100 travel credit, for every 5,000 miles you can choose to have $25 deposited in your bank account, or you can save your points to redeem for gift cards at brand name stores.
