As if we haven’t covered enough about iPhone apps over the last week already, it looks like we have some more iPhone news for you. Today Discover launched their own iPhone App. If you’re a Discover cardholder the Discover iPhone App allows you view your recent account activity and make payments conveniently from your phone.

You can also view your current rewards balance on the go. Once you download and install the App you use your existing Discover.com user ID and password to login to your account.

To be honest I’m surprised that it’s taken so long for Discover to launch their own app. Some other financial institutions have had apps out since I purchased my phone over a year ago. Although Discover definitely missed the boat initially, at least they finally got an app out and I’m sure other iPhone savvy customers like myself will be relieved.

The Discover iPhone App which works on the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch is available for free from the iTunes App Store.
