Discover cardholders can currently earn a double cash back bonus on Holiday purchases through December 31st 2009. There is a cap of $1000, however the 2% you earn as a bonus is in addition to any other rewards that you would normally earn on these purchases.

As you can see above, any purchases made at the following stores will qualify you for the double cash back bonus:

• Department Stores
• Clothing Stores
• Shoe Stores
• Jewelry Stores
• Any Online Shopping

That’s right, you can get a 2% cash back bonus on ANY online shopping. This means that you could order a refrigerator online and still get a 2% cash back bonus on it. This offer is currently good for the Discover More, Motiva, Open Road, and Miles cards. If you have the Miles by Discover card, you will automatically earn double miles, instead of the cash back bonus.
