AT&T just announced a couple of new Mobile Share Value Plans that will be available starting tomorrow.
Customers will have new options like 2GB and 5GB of shared data.
AT&T also cut the prices of some larger data plans. The price of the 15GB plan was reduced from $130 to $100. And the 20GB plan was cut from $150 to $140. And AT&T subscribers who choose data plan with 15GB will now also get unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada.
If you need more data than shown above, you will be in luck. AT&T's press release notes that larger-size plans like 25GB, 30GB, 40GB and 50GB are also available. Business customers Plans that go up to as much as 200GB will be available for business customers.
All of the new plans being announced tomorrow cover the same benefits and options under AT&T Next, which is AT&T's program that allows users to pay for their phone in monthly installment plans of 12, 18, or 24 months. To learn more about AT&T Next, click here.
AT&T's press release mentions that "select locations" still provide two year contracts for $40 per line. But AT&T, like Verizon, is moving away from subsidized contracts and replacing them with installment plans.
Whether or not ending subsidized phone contracts is a good idea, we are glad to see AT&T Wireless offer its customers more data choices on the low and high volume end of the spectrum. We also know large data users will appreciate the price cuts and additional features.
