Credit Cards For People With Bad Credit

Sometimes good people get into bad circumstances and unintentionally end up with a bad credit rating as a result. I’m not going to go into all of the implications have having bad credit, and why it’s important to constantly improve your credit, I will say that having good credit can save you a ton of money in the long run. Luckily, there are credit cards out there for people that would like to build or rebuild their credit; here are a few of the better unsecured credit card offers (meaning these cards don’t require you to put down a deposit equal to what you want your credit limit to be):

Orchard Bank Classic Mastercard

For those of you who are looking to build (or rebuild) your credit history I recommend the Orchard Bank Classic Mastercard. This card is fairly easy to get approved for even with a minimal credit history and most importantly, reports to all three credit bureaus. The annual fee for this card will depend on your credit for the first year, and then be $74 a year thereafter, however that of course is subject to change. You can use this card anywhere that accepts MasterCard.

Orchard Bank Visa Classic

The Orchard Bank Visa Classic is virtually identical to the MasterCard version and is also a good card for those of you who are looking to build their credit history. This card also reports to all three credit bureaus. The annual fee structure is the same as the MasterCard version and again will depend on your credit for the first year. The Annual fee for the second year is $74 with this version of the card as well, however as I said above this is subject to change. You can use this card anywhere that accepts Visa.

If you have no credit history at all you may want to try a secured credit card. There are actually quite a few secured cards out there to choose from, however like the subprime unsecured cards, many of them have high fees so it’s important do a bit of research. Here are a few of the better secured credit cards:

Public Savings Bank Secured Black Card

If you have bad credit or no credit the Public Savings Bank Secured Black Card is highly recommended because it has no annual fee, after the one time $79.00 application fee, reports to all 3 credit bureaus, and is FDIC insured.

Everyone who applies for this card is approved because of the fact that its a secured credit card.
