The Citi Forward card reduces your APR 0.25% and gives you 100 points per billing period when you use your credit properly, meaning when you pay on time and don’t go over your limit. You also earn points for spending, and when you sign up for paperless statements.
How This Card Works:
The Citi Forward card earns 5 points for every $1 spent on movies, books, music, and entertainment and another 1 point for every $1 spent on everything else. You get 6,000 bonus points after a $50 purchase within three months of opening your account, 100 points every billing period you pay on time and stay under your limit, and another 5,000 points when you sign up for paperless statements. This card also reduces your APR 0.25% when you use your credit wisely. This APR reduction happens every 3 months you do this for a total APR reduction of up to 2%. With no annual fee, that makes this a great rewards card that encourages you to stay on track with your credit use.
Travel and Shopping Benefits:
This credit card earns 5 points for every $1 spent on entertainment like music, movies and books and an additional 1 point for every $1 spent on everything else. You can earn up to 75,000 points per year, which will expire 5 years from the date they are acquired. Rewards that you can redeem your points for include gift cards starting at 1,000 points, student loan rebates and statement credits starting at 2,500 points, charitable gifts, and travel.
Fees:
The APR starts with an introductory 0% for 6 months and is 12.24% after that. The cash advance fee is 21.99% and the default rate for the Citi Forward card is 29.99%. Balance transfers are subject to the same APR as purchases, including the introductory 0%. The grace period is 20 days and there is no annual fee. Cash advance and balance transfer fees are both 3%, with a minimum of $5. The over the credit fee is $39. The late fees are as follows: $15 for balances up to $100, $29 on balances from $100 to $250, and $39 for balances above $250.
