Verdict: Ink Plus from Chase gives you some of the same benefits as the Ink Bold card without requiring you to pay off your balance in full each month. This cards rewards system simply isn’t as good as what you get with the Ink Cash card which gives you 3% cash back on certain purchases and 1% on everything else compared to just 1% on everything with Ink Plus.
Overview:
Ink Plus from Chase is a business credit card that is to be targeted at travelers who want to earn airline tickets, hotel rooms and other travel related rewards on business purchases. This card also offers additional travel benefits for members such as a complimentary Priority Pass membership, and access to over 600 airport lounges in more than 100 countries.
How This Card Works:
The Ink Plus Card from Chase allows you to earn 1 point for every dollar spent with no limit on the amount of points you can earn. As with the Ink Bold Card you can also earn 2 points on every dollar spent on airfair that is booked through the Ultimate Rewards Travel Booking tool available to you a Chase business card member.
The bonus points system with the Ink Plus card isn’t quite as generous as with the Ink Bold card (a maximum of 25,000 bonus points compared to 47,500 bonus points with Ink Bold), however you can still earn a good amount of bonus points if you spend the right amount. With this card you earn the following:
- 10,000 bonus points when you spend $50,000 per year.
- 15,000 more bonus points when you spend an additional $50,000 for a maxium of 25,000 bonus points.
If you choose to shop through Chase’s online mall, you can earn up to 10 bonus points per $1 spent depending on the merchant.
Travel and Shopping Benefits:
One major benefit that this card has, not included with some other Chase business cards is a complimentary Airport Lounge with Priority Pass membership. This gives you free access to over 600 airport lounges in 100 different countries.
As with other Chase Business cards, Ink Plus gives you access to Chase’s online mall where you can earn additional bonus points.
Pros:
- Lots of perks for business travelers.
- Points are 25% more valuable when you redeem them for airline tickets and hotel rooms.
Cons:
- Annual fee of $60 after the first year
- Rewards system just isn’t as good as Ink Cash unless you’re a hardcore traveler.
- Although you can earn 25,000 bonus points, the Ink Bold card allows you to earn up to 47,500 bonus points per year.
Fees:
The $60 annual fee is waved for the first year.
