Chase Freedom® Visa Review

Chase Freedom® Visa - $50 Bonus Cash Back

Update: We now recommend the Discover More card over Chase Freedom® Visa – recently the Chase Freedom® Visa changed their terms and scaled back their rewards program because of the credit crunch. For the best rewards card out there we recommend you check out the Discover More card.

Verdict: The Chase Freedom® Visa – $50 Bonus Cash Back has one of the best rewards program in the business. What I like about this card is that you can redeem your points for either cash back or rewards.

As of late, the Chase Freedom® Visa has been receiving a lot of attention. Ever since this card replaced the Chase Plus Rewards card it has been a huge hit. Generally speaking, it is one of the best consumer cash rebate cards available. Although there are many similar credit cards available to consumers, this one has proven to be best of the best time after time.

With the Chase Freedom® Visa card you can earn points for rewards or cash back. For many, this option is just what they are looking for. While there is nothing wrong with receiving points, some consumers prefer cash back. And with the Chase Freedom® Visa card this is never a problem. Your options are easy to understand, and when coupled with a great customer service team you cannot go wrong by applying for this credit card.

Rewards

With the Chase Freedom® Visa card you can earn a full 1% Cash Back on every purchase – no spending tiers or caps on how much you can earn. You can also earn 5% Cash Back throughout the year on rotating categories.

Chase Freedom 5% Cash Back Bonus Schedule:
  • April – June: Furniture, Home Improvement and Gardening Products.
  • July – September: Airline tickets, Hotel Bills and Rental Car Fees.
  • October – December: Grocery Stores, Movie Theaters and Department Stores.

Is there a cap on the amount of rebates you can earn? At this time, you can earn up to $600 per month.

If this sounds confusing there is no reason to give up. With the Chase Freedom® Visa card you will receive a detailed statement each month with information on how much you have spent, as well as your earnings. After a couple months of using the Chase Freedom® Visa card you will have a much better understanding of the system and how you can make it work to your advantage.

Fees and APR

Like every credit card you need to be aware of fees and the APR. Unlike others, there is no annual fee with the Chase Freedom® Visa card.

Benefits

1. A low APR for the benefits received
2. No annual fee
3. The best rewards program in the business which offers either points or cash back

The Decision

With so many credit cards to choose from it is not always simple to locate one that suits your spending habits and overall financial picture. The Chase Freedom® Visa card has quickly become known as having the best rewards program around. There are not many cards that offer the choice of reward points or cash back. To go along with this, Chase does not bring down the value of the card with a high annual fee and APR.

Although there are other rewards programs out there, the Chase Freedom® Visa cash back credit card is one of the best you are going to find.
