College offers students new opportunities every day. New friendships are forged, careers are chosen and independence blossoms. This is the perfect time to begin building your credit and learn money management skills that will serve you for life, too. Every purchase from books to pizza can help establish the type of credit score needed to purchase your future car or home.

Creating great credit is easy with these Visa cards designed just for students:

On top of all of those points, Citi awards you five reward points for every dollar spent on things college students enjoy most: books, movies, and even fast food!

Reward points accumulate quickly and can be spent on electronics, dining out, music, movies, games, gift cards, and mtvU Exclusives. These exclusives from mtv include the mtvU Woodie Awards and VIP Spring Break Passes.

No cosigner is required for students applying for the mtvU Visa. Introductory APR is 0% for the first seven months and rises to 12.99% – 21.99% based on your credit. mtvU’s APR will fluctuate with the Prime Rate. There is no annual fee for this card.
