American Express Daily Wish offers AMEX cardholders exclusive online deals via three “sales” each week. These deals can be for specific products (which often sell out quickly so you need to be fast) or an incentive to shop at a particular merchant ex: $100 Back When You Spend $200 Or More at Amazon. For those of you who are familiar with Woot.com (one deal each day) the concept is very similar, however new sales only happen three days a week instead of every day.

Basically on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week a different sale happens, and most of the time three different deals are offered in each sale (although this varies). On the day of the sale, a countdown timer is revealed indicating what time the sale will begin. Unlike Woot.com however, deals aren’t on just electronics and various home goods, AMEX also offers amazing deals on travel packages and one-of-a-kind experiences (whatever that means) according to the website.

Woot.com which basically pioneered this idea years ago, has had an incredible amount of success, so it’s no surprise that American Express wants a piece of the pie. With that said I don’t think this is something that you’re going to get a great deal with everyday just because of the limited selection of products. The people who have success with it seem to just keep an eye on it everyday, and then when a great deal for them comes along (maybe a few times a year) that they end up scooping that product up.
